Major pedigree meets fresh ambition as 17 South Koreans tee off in Texas

Seventeen Korean players line up at The Club at Carlton Woods, blending proven champions with rising challengers. Among the headliners, Jin Young Ko—winner of two majors—returns to a course that suits her unflappable rhythm. She tees off at 9:21 a.m. alongside Yuka Saso and Brooke Henderson. “I feel prepared,” Ko said. “It’s about staying calm and trusting my game.”

Young talent also lights the Korean path. Haeran Ryu, Narin An, Ina Yoon and Jiwon Jeon carry the next-gen torch, while veterans like In Gee Chun and Jeongeun Lee6 aim to rediscover the major-winning magic that once made them household names.
In total, Korea’s contingent features a potent mix: Haeran Ryu, Mi Hyang Lee, Jin Young Ko, Hye-Jin Choi, Ina Yoon, Hyo Joo Kim, Sei Young Kim, Jeongeun Lee5, Somi Lee, Jin Hee Im, Jiwon Jeon, Jeongeun Lee6, A Lim Kim, Amy Yang, Jenny Shin, In Gee Chun and Narin An—all with their own stories, all chasing the same dream.
