KLPGT's Twin Engines: A New Era with Two at the Helm
With Kim Soon-hee joining Lee Young-mi as co-CEO, the women’s tour bets on collaboration for growth
Seoul, Korea - The Korean Ladies Professional Golf Tour (KLPGT) has restructured its leadership by appointing Kim Soon-hee as co-CEO, joining incumbent Lee Young-mi to steer the tour together from April 21.
The move, approved at the tour’s third board meeting of the year, marks a shift from a single-leader system to a dual-CEO structure aimed at streamlining operations and boosting adaptability in a rapidly evolving golf industry.
Lee will continue to focus on sponsorship acquisition and partner relations, while Kim will oversee tournament management, marketing, communications, and overall administration. The new alignment is expected to foster greater synergy and strategic clarity.
“This co-CEO model is about building a responsive, future-focused organisation,” a board member commented. “We’re doubling our vision, not our hierarchy.”
Also named at the board meeting were key appointments to bolster the leadership team. Kim Mi-hoe and Jeon Dae-gyu were elected vice presidents, with Koo Min-ji and Son Hye-kyung stepping in as executive vice presidents.
The KLPGT, backed by a new leadership framework, hopes to ride the momentum and position itself as a modern force in global women’s golf.
